Ammanford has a population of approximately 5,400 and is located at the end of the Amman Valley. It is a former coal mining town and serves as the main shopping centre for many villages in the area.
Pantyffynnon is a small village half a mile South West of Ammanford and a mile East of Tycroes. It lies between the rivers Loughor and Amman at the foot of Mynydd Y Betws. The village is served by Pantyffynnon Railway Station on the Heart of Wales line.
The Centre has been managed since September 2012 by Pantyffynnon Partnership Group which is a not-for-profit organisation providing activities, support and facilities to Pantyffynnon and the wider community.

Travel from the M4 along the A483 through Tycroes and Penybanc and down the hill into the outskirts of Ammanford. Take the right turn signposted Train Station/New Road Industrial Estate/ Pantyffynnon. Turn left into Parc Amanwy Business Park and then turn left again. Llys Glas is on the right at the end of the road.
