Carmarthen is a community and the county town of Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is sited on the River Towy and lays claim to being the oldest town in Wales.

The St John Ambulance Cymru hall in Carmarthen was opened in 1991 as a base for it’s local volunteers to meet, something that it’s still used for today. In 2024, it was refurbished to include new kitchen, lighting and modern IT facilities.
